Promissory note

I have Things To Say--about teaching, about tenure-applying, about the fact that a "standard" bridal bouquet (which I am not getting) costs $85--but dudes. My wedding is a week from tomorrow. My tenure file is due three days later. Nothing longer than a tweet is getting written until all that's past.

Yay!!!!! Many happy returns!

We will wait with bated breath for news of the weddingness! And, of course, for pictures!!!

PS Your cats will be the ring bearers, of course, yes?

Much excitement! I hope that it's all fabulously wonderful despite the inevitable accompanying stress.

How exciting, even if stressful! Sounds as close as it gets for a tenured prof to re-live finishing the diss.

Aren't you glad they don't require wedding files?

Congratulations!

My good intentions to say something lyrically congratulatory have been waylaid by Withywindle's comment, which is so funny I can't think of anything useful to say except congratulations.

Happy Wedding! Which sounds like it's today, October 1, so congratulations and best wishes.

Bridal bouquets are stupid, especially since you'll want to do other things with your hands like embrace family members and friends, and hold a glass of wine instead.

Happy day-after-the wedding!!! Enjoy a huge brunch or something similar. Boy is that like banal advice. Whatever! Happy happy!

(I meant, "Boy is that banal advice." Expunge the "like," please.)
