These shoes, which arrived today (and for which I paid less than $30.00, including shipping).
I'm totally wearing them tomorrow to administer my last exam. Because sometimes I get confused: is this Shakespeare? Or Studio 54?
(You know: the flashing lights, the drugs, Andy Warhol. . . yeah. It's been like that.)

love those shoes!
Wow! Fabulous!
Wow, your students will be so touched that you dressed up for them. Or not. They can be grouchy that way.
AJ: Well, actually I'm mostly dressing down--those will be paired with skinny, dark jeans and a golden-tan courduroy blazer.
But I think my students are more suprised/impressed by my wearing jeans than by my "dressing up" anyway.
$30??
Yay!
Yay to the glamour! I wish I could wear strappy little sandals. Alas, my feet are too big and my balance is too off!
Those shoes are Fab-u-lous! Are those honestly Ferragamo shoes for $30? If so, holy crap!
Abby: oh, totally. They are, of course, "pre-owned," and probably at least 20 years old (although only lightly worn). I've bought a lot of Ferragamo shoes on eBay for comparable prices, since I've found that the brand fits and has some really groovy vintage styles.
Dagnabbit! I missed 'em! But enjoy! You know that Chaser, she loves the Shoes as Manolo would say.
