In calendar year 2009 I taught 18 sections @ 25-30 students each. Plus I completed a research project that will be published (took me 3 years) ... Our 3/2 load (with 40+ for each undergrad course) was really a toughie. But, thankfully, our research expectations haven't changed. So, it's more about making time to do the stuff we were already doing!
